About (taken from website): Our patented silicone technology is unique. Out of the pack, Sugru feels like play-dough, and it’s that easy to use too. It bonds to almost any other material and cures just by exposing it to air. Its durable cured properties mean it’ll stay strong and securely bonded anywhere from the freezer to a steamy hot shower, from the home to the great outdoors.

Sugru

With my husband working 6 days a week 10-12 hours a shift. Getting little projects and repair jobs around the home gets hard to do with as tired as he is at night. With Sugru, I can get them done myself! Sugru is like a moldable glue, it was really fun to play with to shape (almost like play dough). Sugru sticks permanently to lots of stuff like ceramics, glass, metal, wood, and most plastics and fabrics. You have 30 minutes to get the job done and it takes 24 hours to permanently cure. Available in 10 colors!!

Sugru is:

  • Strong and durable which is great for the outdoors
  • Flexible when cured
  • Soft touch & Grippy
  • Stable at high and low temps
  • Waterproof
  • Removable

A FEW PROJECTS I DID

My computer is kinda old and I carry it everywhere with me so my charger started to fray in a few different places. I figured I was going to have to purchase a new one real soon. As soon as I got this review, I knew the first thing that I was going to do with Sugru was repair my charger cord.

Frayed Cord

Since the Surgu has cured there is no exposed wires and its flexible. I no longer have to worry about if the kids touch the wires and its plugged in if they will get a little shock!

The second project I did was mounted my video baby monitor to the our headboard. The clip broke that allowed it to stand up and it just wasn’t working right and we would prop it up and if we moved and bumped the cord in the middle of the night it would knock it over and scaring the poo out of us! The home hacks made easy kit I received came with 2 super-strong neodymium magnets so I attached 1 magnet to the monitor and 1 to the headboard then made rubber grips to keep the cord nice and neat.
