Who doesn’t love Star Wars? My fifteen year old son absolutely loves it so when I opened this box and saw three Star Wars games, I knew automatically that he would love them. The first game in this set is Star Wars Destroyer Strike Game. This game has lasers and sound effects from the film to bring you into the game. In this game, you need to outrace your enemy. The goal of the game is to defeat the Resistance. This is fast moving and fun for the whole family. I’m sure when my son opens this on Christmas morning, he will love it… he won’t have to make the sound effects himself!
The next game that I’m sure will be his favorite is Star Wars Pictopia. This is a picture trivia game with 1,000 questions to test your Star Wars knowledge against your family and friends. This is teamwork with a competitive edge: you wager on each turn and the higher you get, the more you can wager. I know he’s going to want to play this game against everyone else and gloat because he knows more. I also know that when my daughter knows something he doesn’t, she is going to hold it over his head all day. This is just how our family works.
The last game in our Star Wars set is called the Galaxy Hunt Game. You have to choose each piece carefully or the enemy will strike. Each player takes turns removing pieces to look for allied starships. If you pull the wrong piece from the board, a sweeping spring loaded arm will pop pieces out. This game is based on strategy and suspense. This is from the film ‘Star Wars The Force Awakens.’ I think the three year old will like this game more than his older brother but I do know it will be played with and at least one child will like it. I can’t wait to see the looks on the kids faces when they open these games on Christmas morning.
