For a lot of us, our pets are a very important part of our lives. I’ve said this in a lot of my pet reviews, that they are for me like my children. Having 4 kids and 2 of them very small, how do you teach death, or make it more comforting to them or even to yourself? For pets big and small, Paw Pods have eco-friendly urns to say good-bye to you furbaby. Paw Pods are 100% eco-friendly; made from bamboo powder, rice husk, and corn starch.
I remember when we lost one of my favorite dogs to renal cancer. We took her to the vet and they told us that we could do all kinds of expensive tests and such, give her meds to prolong her life but she still wouldn’t gain weight. We had to decide that we didn’t want to make her suffer that we would put her to sleep. We didn’t have much money to get an urn and have her cremated and all that, but had we have had these Paw Pods we could have had her cremated and brought her home to bury her properly so the kids could visit her often. We had her mass cremated with the vets office.
Heart Shaped Urn– Measured at 44 cubic inches, the heart shaped urn can sustain a pets ashes that weighed up to 70 pounds. It is designed to be able to be decorated with paint, markers or stickers to make the healing process easier with your kids. There is an option to either bury the heart or even display it. If you do bury it, they will decompose completely in 3-5 years.
Fish Pod– We have a big saltwater aquarium tank that I really take pride in. I can see these pods as mine. The fish pods are perfect for small to medium sized fish like Goldfish and Beta Fish, and measuring 4.75” x 2.9” x 2”. Fish are usually the first pet we think of to get our kids, and when they die what is our first instinct when they die is flush them down the toilet. These pods are great to teach them the value of life and how to cope with death of a pet no matter how small. The Fish Pods are also able to be decorated with paint, markers or stickers.
