Drawing Books from Quarto Knows

Quarto Knows

My oldest son loves to draw and is always taking my younger kids crayons, marker and pencils so that he can draw. So this year for Christmas I decided that I would make it all about drawing. When Quarto Knows allowed me to do a review, I chose a few art books that I knew he would love!

Drawing Comics Lab: This book is 133 pages of step by step instructions on becoming a comic artist. This book is filled with 52 exercises to excited to practice your art. You don’t have to be an already aspired comic artist or a beginner, this book is perfect for you. It will teach you examples, techniques, and comic adventures from many different comic artists.

Learn to Draw Family Guy: Loved by millions of fans since it debuted in 1999, now the beloved characters can come to your drawing paper. Learn to Draw Family Guy gives you easy to follow step by step guides for all ages and skill levels. While you are learning to draw your favorite characters, you can also read up about them and their favorite anecdotes. This page is 128 big pages of your favorite characters and even scenes.

How to Draw Almost Every Day: This drawing book helps you learn by breaking it down by a calendar so that you draw something new, something simple every day. It gives you step by step illustrations and exercises to help you become a better artist. You are able to use this book no matter what skill lever you are at. You will learn to draw things from every day life like food, clothing and seasonal images. You will learn how to incorporate your drawings into greeting cards, calendars, invitations, gift wrap and more! Even though this is a gift for my child, I love to draw and think I would really enjoy using this book daily as well!

Christmas snacks from

Having pets and 5 kids, getting out of the house is nearly impossible. I try to find online sites that I can purchase as much as I can though so I don’t have to take all my kids out at one time (moms and dad’s know that can be disastrous).  So I actually found my favorite website, where I can get everything I need for my dog in one stop. I can get treats, toys, food and cleaning needs for him too without even leaving my home. Shipping is cheap and if I purchase enough it’s free! I was able to review a few treats this months, check out what I got!

Tylee’s Pork Jerky Human-Grade Dog Treats, 8-oz bag– Made of 100% pork sirloin, and the same quality that us humans would eat. The jerky is thinly sliced and dehydrated. There is no preservatives or no artificial flavors added. There is only 1 ingredient in this jerky and that is pork sirloin! The treats are great for any breed and any size dogs because they are easy to break into smaller pieces. This portable snack is 74% protein and has the texture of jerky that dogs love to chew.

Blue Buffalo Kringle’s Cookies- Why should Santa be the only one getting cookies? Give your pup delicious holistic crunchy treat in his stocking. Blue Santa Snacks are baked with oatmeal and spices. Mrs. Claus’s recipe contains these ingredients- * Oatmeal * Flaxseed * Barley * Carrots * Pumpkin * Cinnamon. Just like all blue Santa Sacks there are never any chicken or by-products and a free of corn, soy and wheat. These snacks are great for dogs who have allergies and sensitive to wheat. The Kringle’s Cookies are shaped just like real cookies; stars, christmas trees and gingerbread men.

Learning Books from The Quarto Group

The Quarto Group

Every year I give my kids new books to add to their ever growing collection. They have such a wide range of genres. Here a few more they will be getting this year that I was able to review from Quarto Knows.

One Hundred Things to Spot This is a fairly new book; came out the beginning of Sept. With 80 pages this full color book teaches your little ones about colors, numbers, shapes and opposites. This is a search-and-find book by looking for Little Mouse, cat and many more characters throughout the book.

EtchArt: Secret Sea: This art book will be sure to bring out the artist in your child. Use the stylist to etch away the special scratchable ink at 9 marvelous underwater sea creatures like seahorses, dolphin, fish and more. You can remove all the ink, create swirls or make your own design. These have always been my favorite type of book, because it allows me to be the artist that I am but on a different type of medium.

IMG_1291Illumanatomy Learn your anatomy with this amazing book which is unlike any others. Use special 3 color lenses to look at the human body head to toe. Use the red lens to reveal the skeleton, the green to see the muscles working, and x-ray your organs with the blue lens to find out what they do day and night to keep you alive. Discover secrets of the human body and  how the different  systems work. This encyclopedia is jam-packed with information and illustration. 64 pages. I can’t wait to give this to my kids at Christmas- my 6 year old and I are already starting to work on learning the names of the bones in the body. I think that it is never too early to start learning.
