Her 3 Little Thinkers

About (taken from website): Kalahari Resorts are full service vacation destinations that share the magic of Africa. Our water and theme parks, luxury spa and adventurous restaurants all go way beyond expectations.

As its starting to finally cool down and outside pools are all shut down. Finding family fun activities to do start getting slim. Kalahari Waterparks Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio will keep your whole family entertained.

We were offered one night stay which got us access to the water park the day we arrived and the whole next day even after we checked out of our room. We got there after we picked our 15 year old up from school at 3. So when we got there our room was ready, and we were even able to get a pack’n play sent to our room so we didn’t have to lug ours around; which I loved!

Having a 8 month old and a 3 year old, my husband and I spend a majority of our time with them. The largest area for little ones my kids ages is the Kids Safari. There are lots of different sizes slides, the water is very shallow, and other water toys for kids to play on/in. Even though this is shallow waters, there are several life guards walking around and your tikes are required to wear life vests in all water areas. Another one of my sons favorite is the wave pool. He will get out as far as he can stand then will book it back in as soon as the horn blows that the waves are coming (lol). Other age appropriate; * Leopard Liar * Crocodile Cove * Lazy River.

Kalahari is the largest indoor waterpark. Even though I don’t like to ride waterslides, my older kids and husband do. Which is ok, because I like to play with the babies. There is plenty of rides for older kids and adults to ride.

  • Flowrider
  • Victoria Falls
  • Lazy River
  • Zip Coaster
  • Tanzanian Twister
  • Rippling Rhino
  • Elephant’s Trunk
  • Wave Pool
  • Zig Zag Zebra
  • Indoor/Outdoor Spas
  • Shooting Star
  • Swahili Swirl
  • Wild Wildebeest
  • Zimbabwe Zipper
  • Cheetah Race

One of my favorite things to do is the Mud Hut. A swim up bar in the hot tub! My husband and I went and got a drink while the 15 year old played with the little ones so we can celebrate our anniversary. We only live 20 minutes from Kalahari but its our families favorite place to go whether its 20 degrees out or 90 degrees out. You are able to reserve rooms to accommodate however big your party is, small rooms- suites!
