Review: Guess what is coming up? Thats right, Valentine’s Day. One of the largest days for chocolate, cards, candy and you guessed it, wine! I really enjoy any brand of wine but CK Mondavi has become my go to wine over the years and I was lucky, again, to get to review for such a special occasion. Weather its sharing a glass of wine with your loved on over a candlelit dinner, a glass of wine in a hot bubble bath or relaxing on the couch after a long day with the kids, the crisp taste of CK Mondavi is sure to satisfy your craving.
I was sent 3 bottles to try and share with you all. The first is my complete favorite and was super excited to get this flavor:
Blonde Five: Blonde Five is in the white wine category. The flavors include baked apple, lemon zest and honey with the aroma of pear and honeysuckle.
Blonde Five pairs well with these foods: spicy chicken, mild cheeses and grilled shrimp. But as always its fantastic just on its own!
Chardonnay: Another wine in the white category, this is my second favorite flavor. It is a medium-bodied wine with a hint of oak. This includes flavors of apple and pear and aromas of lemon and citrus.
This wine pairs well with these foods: Seafood, pastas with white creams sauces such as alfredo, hearty cheeses, and roasted chicken.
This wine does taste well on its own, but I prefer to drink this wine with a meal.
Scarlet Five: This is a in the reds category and is a full bodied wine. This wine is Ck Mondavis signature cuvee. It is a mix of five red wines with flavors of black cherries and plums.
There is no specific food pairing with this particular wine as its got many wines included into one.
To me, this wine is very strong as I am a fan of white wine.
